Programme Director-Day Services

Specified Purpose – 1 Years Contract

35 Hours per week

The post holder will be responsible for the daily management and operations of assigned unit. To deliver the Art Programme to Service Users.To maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centred care, to design an art programme suited to the needs of individual Service Users.To ensure the smooth running of the assigned area of work. To promote art appreciation and skills development in individual Service Users.To work directly with the Unit Heads in identifying programmes/work and design activities suitable to the varying needs of the Service User.

Essential Requirements

Qualification:
. Education and Training to 3rd level standard – Youth and Community Work, Teaching or Adult Education

. Experience of working in a specialized training environment

. Experience of working with young people with additional support needs including intellectual disabilities, ASD, physical and sensory needs and/or mental health difficulties.

Experience:

• Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities and Complex Needs.
• Confidential, calm, polite and professional individual who is well presented and has a kind, calm and caring nature.
• Candidate must have good communication and good listening skills.
• Experience of working in the Arts/ crafts area.
• . Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role.
