Description of Work Unit

The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of the NCAA Division I-FBS and the Mountain West Conference. The University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, 65 miles north of Denver. Position Summary

The Assistant Annual Fund Coordinator for Sales and Data Innovation is responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations with the overall operation of the Department’s annual giving program. Primary responsibilities will include facilitating reseating, priority seating, ticketing operations and departmental internal operations.

Required Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Sports Administration/Management, Business, Marketing, Management, HPER, HES, Recreation, Education, Economics, Liberal Arts, Communications, Sociology or any other field related to responsibilities and duties
Two (2) years of experience working in an intercollegiate athletics department
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple audiences
Discretion and ability to interact with high-level donors
Attention to detail, organization, problem solving and decision making abilities and experience
Demonstrated success in working in a team setting
Ability to be flexible and adaptable
Ability to make independent decisions and to evaluate projects against broad strategic goals
Demonstrated success in management of multiple priorities
Proficient in the use of PC software such as Microsoft packages, databases and email as well as the Paciolan ticketing system
Excellent writing and editorial skills required
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.

Assist in the supervision of the Annual Fund intern
Work with the Ticket office, Aspire (Ram Sales Team) and Development staff to ensure all functions and procedures of the Annual Fund office are properly implemented, documented and organized
Be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating annual athletics giving activities
Oversee all gift processing and acknowledgements; liaison with Colorado State University Advancement in the balancing and accounting of all gifts
Assist the annual fund and major gift officers in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of top level annual fund donors for gifts to Intercollegiate Athletics
Maintain office files and coordinate the flow of information to on-campus constituents
Develop and manage all aspects of annual giving program including renewals, direct mail, telemarketing and on-line giving functions for Athletics Annual Fund appeals
Serve as the Ram Alumni Athletes Association (RAAA) liaison
Assist in the monitoring and budget management of the annual giving program

Priority and Premium Seating and Reseating Project Management

Duty/Responsibility

Oversee the reseating program for the new stadium & Moby Arena
Plan, implement and manage all phases of the priority seating programs for men’s and women’s basketball and football
Plan, implement and evaluate the priority seating program and work with ticket office and Aspire to assure program compliance
Oversee the internal processes of the priority seating program, inclusive of billing and invoicing as it relates to the Rams points reallocation seating process
Work as the primary liaison with the Rams Ticket office with ticket allocations and improvements for all home and away ticketed events
Oversee priority seating billing and invoicing
Serve as ticket office liaison
Coordinate donor parking and verification
Research, develop, implement and administer “point system” to insure benefits such as seat locations, parking, post season tickets, etc. are provided to donors in a fair and accurate way and result in increased revenue

Serve as liaison with the ticket office and the CSU Foundation gift processing unit
Research potential sources of annual fund revenue
Coordinate the utilization, updating and management components of the University’s Advance and Paciolan databases as it relates to the Athletic Department, Aspire (Rams Sales Team) annual fund and development office
Interact with University Advancement, the CSU Foundation staff and the Athletic Ticket office
Prepare, administer and modify as necessary new and/or existing fund agreements, management of endowments, gift documentation and acknowledgement, Advance donor/alumni report preparation and distribution
Design reports and implement data-mining
Oversee and coordinate Advancement/Paciolan data transfer
Coordinate Donor Coding & Assignment
