Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

This is a tenure-track position with a 40-40-20 (research, teaching, service) appointment and a two courses per semester (2-2) teaching load. The successful candidate will teach upper and lower division courses in Latin American history, and contribute to the department’s graduate program and to the undergraduate Roots of Contemporary Issues course. Department faculty also may be asked to teach occasionally for the WSU Global campus. In addition, the successful candidate will maintain an active research program and serve on departmental, university and campus committees, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Completed PhD in History or closely-related field at time of appointment
Evidence of a well-defined research agenda within modern Latin American/Latinx history
Demonstrated teaching experience or potential for successful teaching and instruction
Demonstrated commitment underrepresented communities and to campus and university diversity, equity and inclusion efforts

Preferred Qualifications:
