Position Overview

You’re a forward-thinker with a passion for implementing training solutions and programs. You constantly seek innovative ideas that better resonate with your audiences. An excellent communicator and writer, your collaborative approach to working with clients and peers, help you build meaningful partnerships to achieve your objectives. As our Instructional Writer, you’ll put your skills to work and support creating and implementing employee training programs by developing instructor-led and online training content.

You’ll work closely with our instructional designers and subject matter experts to produce materials ranging from trainer guides, job aids to content for eLearning courses. We’re committed to building a greener future with our 30BY30 target to reduce our customers’ emissions by 30 per cent by the year 2030. We need collaborators, innovators and leaders like yourself to help us achieve our goal.

Join us in re-thinking our energy future. In year 1, you will:

Establish collaborative relationships with Instructional Design team peers within the Operational Learning and Operations areas and with trainers and subject matter experts. Develop knowledge of our gas business and distribution system. Execute identified training development priorities in collaboration with various instructional designers. In year 2, you will:

Expand training development to eLearning courses. Develop expertise specific to operations work processes and tools. Support the Operational Learning department with the execution of strategic priorities. What it takes: A diploma in adult education/learning, instructional design, technical writing, training or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution with three years of directly related and relevant experience. The ability to multi-task and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
