Senior Level Artist – skate. Job in Vancouver, BC at Electronic Arts –

We are looking for a Senior Level Artist to help us on this incredible endeavor. You will report to the Environment Director.
What you’ll do
Work with the Environment Director to establish Environment Theming & Tone, References for sections of the world.
Work closely with Level Designers to iterate on and bring a level of believability and detail to the world while retaining the gameplay intentions.
Work with the Environment Director and Technical Art team to explore and test different methods for creating and laying out the world, including procedural layout tools and workflows.
Own significant sections of the world, defining and scoping requirements and establishing detailed goals for yourself and your teammates.
Work with the tech art and engineering teams to help establish performance and memory budgets to set achievable targets for world density.
What you’ll bring
5+ Years Experience on Video Game Asset production teams
Experience shipping environment content in an intermediate to senior role on 2-3 shipped console/PC titles.
Strong knowledge of architecture, urban planning, and visual design.
Excellent sense of visual composition, form and color.
Experience with many different methods for creating a game world including modular systems and usage of procedural tools.
Experience helping develop and using new tools and workflows related to world creation.
Excellent knowledge of how to manage content for games in an optimized and performant manner.
A degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Visual Design, or related diploma or certificate.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $113,300 – $171,700
- New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $111,500 – $171,700
º $126,700 – $171,700
- Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $111,500 – $144,000
- Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $111,500 – $157,300
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
