The Critical Threats Project (CTP), led by Senior Fellow Frederick W. Kagan, tracks and analyzes current and emerging threats to American national security. The intern will execute operations projects and tasks under CTP’s assistant director, gaining skills transferrable to many professions.
The intern will curate content for CTP’s website and social media platforms. Social media work will include researching and implementing new creative strategies to increase social media engagement, monitoring and reporting on the success of social media initiatives, and identifying trends to maximize impact. The intern will also provide operational support for the project, which may include creating graphics and other promotional materials, tracking metrics to determine impact, and providing additional support to the assistant director as required.
The intern will also develop the team’s knowledge management by creating and refining procedures documents. The intern may work on additional special projects.
The intern will gain exposure to a range of foreign policy issues while developing their communication, public speaking, writing, and advanced computer skills. Interested candidates should demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, logic skills, and attention to detail. Successful candidates will have an eye toward continuous improvement and enjoy coordinating many moving parts.
